You videos are very educational, just bought the Essex. Question? when at the rigging stage, how do you know what length to cut the threads to start the rigging. Looking at the instructions, it shows mm but not sure if I should cut longer for tying & cutting. Any info appreciated.

I’m very excited about this kit and hope to make it my next purchase. However I’m concerned that the same thing will happen here as with the other ‘Step by Step’ videos, you will make about 16-18 or so and then just abandon them for the next new thing. Do you have intentions of finishing this series or ending it prematurely?

At 2:06 the 2nd planking has a severe bow, how did you fix it.

Near the beginning of the video, what is the modeler spreading on the hull and one side of the planks? It appears to be something like contact cement, but I'd like to be sure. It also appears that the planks become very flexible at that point, given no soaking or heat is used to apply them. Do I have that right?

This is my first double planked ship, third boat model, first tall ship..past models i roughly tapered the full length plank, but this looks much, much cleaner

Can you use wood glue for the 2nd planking? Your work is just amazing!

Use a needle threader from your mothers' sewing kit. A lot easier!

Bonjour Pour moi le principal default de OCCRE est de ne pas respecter les fixation d'artillerie,ainsi que le châteaux arrière et ces rambarde sont fait en métal (encore un exemple avec ce modèle) l'exemple le plus flagrant (pour ceux qui connaisse) est le châteaux arrière du Santisima Trinidad qui est en une seule pièce de métal et d'une horreur sans nom!

I'd like to know how to thread the blocks, especially the two hole kind. The holes are too small for even the thinnest thread to go through. I have been constructing Endurance and its my biggest holdup.
